The work begins at the furnace, where glass is gathered at over two thousand degrees and coaxed into form before it cools. There is a short window to get it right.
We keep the collection small on purpose. Every piece carries the marks of its making — the faint trace of breath and tool. These are objects to use daily, not to keep behind glass.
Victor was born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland. After earning his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Purdue University, he attended Georgetown University, where he completed both medical school and his residency in Pediatrics. For the past 30 years, he has had the privilege of practicing medicine and caring for children and their families.
While medicine has been his profession, art has always been his passion. Throughout high school and college, he enjoyed painting, drawing, photography, and pottery. As the demands of private practice grew, there was little time to pursue those creative interests, but his appreciation for art never faded.
About ten years ago, he took an introductory glassblowing class and was immediately captivated by the medium. Watching molten glass transform into something beautiful and unique was unlike anything he had experienced before. He continued taking classes, and for the past four years he has been dedicated to developing his skills as a glass artist.
What he loves most about glassblowing is the creative process — the challenge of shaping molten glass into a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects both craftsmanship and imagination. Every piece is unique, and it is incredibly rewarding to know that something he created can bring beauty and enjoyment to someone's home or become a meaningful gift.
What began as a hobby has grown into a part-time business that allows him to share his work with others. He especially enjoys seeing individual pieces find homes with people who connect with them.
